Breakfast this morning after a run focused session consisting of 10 hill sprints on a 3 minute cycle followed by a run through national park (very nice) then 3 sets of 5 pull-ups, 50 swings with a 16kg kettlebell and 10 squat and press with a 16kg kettlebell was this low carb Matcha green tea, strawberry and lime smoothie bowl. This was a great combination of flavours; slightly tangy yet slightly sweet. I think I will experiment with this combination in a cheesecake over the weekend….
Matcha green tea, strawberry and lime smoothie bowl
1/2 tablespoon Matcha green tea powder
2 large strawberries, tops removed
Juice from half a lime
1 scoop of a good quality vanilla whey protein powder
1/2 cup coconut milk
2 tablespoons low fat Greek yoghurt
3 blocks frozen spinach
2 trays of ice cubes
Nuts and coconut for sprinkling on top
Measuring cups and spoons
- Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until a smooth texture is achieved (I had to mix it with a stirring stick during the blending process). Pour into a bowl, decorate to make it look pretty and eat with a spoon.
